Host Bhubaneswar Golf Club asserted supremacy by finishing one-two in the inter-club team competition of the 10th Nalco East Zone Invitational Golf Tournament, which concluded here at the BGC Course today. BGC `A`, comprising Rajnish Das, N P Singh, Satyajyoti Mohanty and Lakhi Swain won the team championship, narrowly beating BGC `B`, which was composed of Devesh Sinha, Srimoy Kar and Ajay Negi.
Altogether 44 golfers of 14 clubs from Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Kolkata, Army, Railway, NCC and BGC took part in the three-day tournament. Pawan Singh Marwa of Beldih Golf Club, Jamshedpur, emerged as the best golfer of the day. He bagged the trophy for the best gross. Nitin Khosla from Golmuri Golf Club, Jamshedpur, won the title in the 0-16 handicap category, while the top honour in 17-24 handicap category was claimed by Ajay Negi from BGC `B`. Ansuman Das, CMD, Nalco, handed over the prizes at the closing function.
